Who We Are
In 2001, a group of parents banded together to address a critical need, focusing on a core issue of not leaving their child with special needs behind. With that focus, this group of parents created a grassroots, non-profit, 501 C-3 organization, for children with various disabilities, to thrive in Jewish education. Keshet of the Rockies (Keshet) opened its doors in August, 2001 at Hillel Academy.
From those beginnings, with an initial six children, have now grown into over 150 students, supported at all five Jewish Day Schools in Denver, Colorado.
This number represents 30 percent of the total number of students at all the Jewish Day Schools. Keshet of the Rockies allocates funding to all five Jewish Day Schools to support students with learning, physical, and social/emotional needs.

Mission Statement:

Keshet of the Rockies is dedicated to providing and promoting inclusion of individuals with special needs in educational frameworks within, or appropriate to, the Jewish community, especially Denver, Colorado Jewish Day Schools.
