Who we are
Keshet of the Rockies was organized in March 2001, to ensure seamless educational services to Jewish children with special needs. Keshet of the Rockies became a Colorado non-profit corporation on July 5, 2002 and is a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. As of 2017, Keshet supports over 100 students, at Beth Jacob High School, Denver Academy of Torah, Denver Jewish Day School, Hillel Academy, and Yeshiva Toras Chaim.
MISSION STATEMENT:
1) Keshet of the Rockies is dedicated to providing and promoting inclusion of persons with special needs in educational frameworks within, or appropriate to, the Jewish community, especially Colorado Jewish Day Schools.
2) Keshet of the Rockies provides special services, Jewish education, and secular training needed for these individuals to become fully functioning adults – both in the Jewish community and within our American society.
Serves the entire Jewish community including all denominations, spanning the educational range of pre-k through high school.
3) Keshet of the Rockies collaborates with schools and educational frameworks, partnering with community agencies, private practitioners, school districts, and other organizations.
4) Keshet of the Rockies is involved in educating the community regarding these programs and the needs of individuals with special needs.
